* Ellicott City: 8900 block of Town and Country Blvd.: Someone tried to steal a 1986 Honda after popping out its ignition to start the engine Wednesday. Police said the car was found in its parking space with its engine running.
* Elkridge: 7300 block of Route 1: A red 1993 GMC Typhoon truck with Texas tags LHG82W was reported stolen Wednesday, police said.
