ATLANTA -- Kisha Ford (Bryn Mawr) scored 23 points in 37 minutes as Georgia Tech defeated Maryland, 82-59, in an Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball game last night.
Ford, a Baltimore Sun girls Player of the Year in 1992-93, went 9-for-21 from the field, including two three-pointers, for the Yellow Jackets (8-4, 1-0).
Freshman Stephanie Cross led Maryland (7-5, 0-2) with 19 points. Nina Ohman added 12.
Maryland, which shot 33 percent in the first half, trailed 39-25 at halftime.
