ROBBERY TRY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Caton Ave. was walking in the 4500 block of Rogers Ave. Wednesday when a man attempted to steal her purse. The woman resisted, causing the man to flee.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman wearing a leather black and white 8-Ball jacket robbed the Farm Fresh store in the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money Wednesday after giving a cashier a note demanding money and warning he was armed.
ROBBERY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he robbed a resident of the 4500 block of Dunland Ave. of property valued at more than $1,000 during an incident at the victim's home Wednesday.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of Baker St. was in the 3500 block of Alto Road Wednesday when a man known as "Larry" and another man robbed him of property valued at nearly $200 at gunpoint.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a gunman who robbed two men, one a resident of the 2800 block of Mulberry St. and the other from the 800 block of E. Caton Ave., of more than $40 in the 2800 block of Mulberry St. Wednesday.

ROBBERY: North Point Precinct -- Police were seeking three men who robbed a 55-year-old resident of the 5800 block of Leith Walk of more than $100 in the 7500 block of Holabird Ave. Tuesday before forcing him into the trunk of his car, a 1976 Plymouth Volare. The man was rescued by police and firefighters after a passerby reportedly heard him yelling for help.
ROBBERY: Parkville Precinct -- Three men, one with a handgun, entered an apartment in the first block of Dalmeny Court at the Doncaster Apartments Wednesday and robbed a couple of money, keys and a 1992 Toyota with tags BFN 004 before tying their arms with rope. During the robbery, one of the intruders struck the man over the head with a handgun. Police said the three suspects knew the victims.
