Two men, one of them armed with an automatic handgun, robbed a Jessup motel of nearly $200 Tuesday night, police said.
The men walked into the office of the Parkway Inn, in the 7900 block of Clark Road, just before midnight. They asked the night clerk for a room. When the clerk gave them a registration form, one of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded money, police said.
The second man went behind the counter and took money from the cash register. He then forced the clerk into a back room and told her to stay there until he and his accomplice had left, police said.
