Outlook: Tennessee has won four straight, and in its last two games beat Kentucky and Vanderbilt by a combined 117-0. James Stewart has run for 1,028 yards this year and become Tennessee's all-time leading rusher with 2,973 yards. Virginia Tech quarterback Maurice DeShazo began the season as a leading Heisman Trophy candidate but has had a poor season, throwing 13 interceptions. The Hokies, who are seeking back-to-back nine-win seasons for the first time in school history, lost two of their last three games and allowed 100 points in that span. It is the first meeting between the schools since 1937.
