* CARJACKING: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3100 block of Frisby St. was in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. Monday night when a gunman forced him from his red 1995 Hyundai with tags BWG 178 and drove away.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. through a bedroom window Monday and stole a 27-inch TV valued at $500, a VCR valued at $300 and stereo equipment valued at $400.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property of unknown value was stolen from a house in the 5800 block of Ethelbert Ave. Christmas day by someone who entered through the front door while the residents were away.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered Kinny's restaurant in the 5700 block of Wabash Ave. Christmas day through the front door and stole property.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from the Dunkin Donuts in the 7000 block of Reisterstown Road Sunday by someone who entered through a rear door.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property and cash, all of ++ unknown value, was stolen from Hilltop Liquors in the 5400 block of Reisterstown Road Sunday by someone who entered through the door.

* BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a home in the 4700 block of Park Heights Ave. through a rear kitchen door Monday and stole property valued at more than $700.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* BURGLARY: White Marsh Precinct -- Someone entered a locker at Perry Hall Mini Storage in the 7700 block of Rossville Blvd. over the Christmas weekend by breaking a lock and stole a 4,000-psi power washer and hoses, all valued at nearly $500.

* MURDER TRY/ARREST: Towson Precinct -- Police arrested a 28-year-old man and charged him with attempting to kill his brother following an argument during a poker game at a relative's house in the 1800 block of Trenleigh Road early Monday morning. Police said the fight began inside the house and ended outside, where police found the victim. Taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center with a ruptured spleen and head and back injuries and listed in stable condition was James S. Meany, 49, of the 300 block of S. Woodard Road. Police said the victim's injuries were caused by being struck with a fist and kicked. Charged with attempted murder and held without bail at the county detention center is his brother, Brian P. Meany.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- A cash register and $15 were stolen from a home in the 10900 block of Falls Road Christmas Eve by someone who entered through the front door.

* BURGLARY: Garrison Precinct -- Someone entered a home in the 7800 block of Liberty Road over the weekend through a basement door and stole a camcorder and a VCR, all valued at more than $1,000.

* ROBBERY: Garrison Precinct -- A resident of the 10000 block of Dolfield Road was in the 11900 block of Reisterstown Road Monday when a gunman robbed him of nearly $80.
