Bailey doesn't expect to be back with Giants

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Linebacker Carlton Bailey may have played his last game with the New York Giants.

"I don't think I'll be back," Bailey, a Woodlawn alumnus, said yesterday, "because I'm not sure they want me back. I think you may see my name on that expansion list."

The list Bailey referred to is the one on which each NFL team must expose six players for February's NFL expansion draft. Nearly all players, except unrestricted free agents, are eligible for the list

What worries Bailey, a key part of the Giants' resurgence in 1993, is that in the past few weeks he says he has lost more and more time to Corey Widmer.

"Do you think they are going to pay me a million dollars to sit on the bench?" asked Bailey, who is scheduled to make $1.2 million in 1995.
