New positions
* Design Teams Inc., an Annapolis-based firm that provides administrative management for engineering design firms, said Susan Shreiber has joined it as an accounting technician. A resident of Annapolis, Ms. Shreiber is a member of the Maryland Capital Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.
* Mary Kay Cosmetics Inc. said Linda J. Lomax is now an independent sales director with the Dallas-based company. She began as an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay in November 1989.

* Classic Communications Corp. named Jennifer L. Dongarra a marketing/media assistant. Ms. Dongarra has a degree in mass communications from Towson State University.

* Dundalk Community College appointed Robert R. Castle director of human resources. Mr. Castle was formerly human resources manager for Specialty Industries Inc. in Red Lion, Pa. A native of Lutherville, he holds an undergraduate degree in English and psychology from Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y.
Financial services
* W. B. Donner & Co. appointed Barbara Shaben vice president/account supervisor. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Ms. Shaben joins the firm after holding a similar position with Ally & Gargano of New York.
* Newport/Stegman Financial named Matt Lerner general manager for the Columbia-based firm, which assists in the sale of privately held businesses. Mr. Lerner comes to his from Provident Bank of Maryland, where he served as a vice president in the commercial lending division.
