Harvey is new officer of homebuilders group
Eugene Harvey, a quality assurance manager at John Harms Jr. & Associates Inc. in Pasadena was recently elected vice president associate of the Home Builders Association of Maryland. As such, he is the nonbuilder member of the senior officers of the association.
Mr. Harvey has been affiliated with the association since 1977. He has been a member of the board of directors since 1987 and serves on the legislative committee and the budget and finance committee and serves as a delegate to the Maryland Builders Association.
Kasper is chairwoman at hospice foundation
Anne Arundel County banking executive Carol Kasper has been elected chairwoman of the board of directors of the Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation.
A resident of Crofton, Ms. Kasper is an assistant vice president and market manager for Mellon Bank of Maryland.
She joined the hospice foundation about a year ago and was unanimously chosen for the top post by fellow board members.
Also elected to top posts were John Williamson of Severna Park, vice chairman; John Rhody, Jr. of Annapolis, secretary; and Henry "Hank" Lawton, treasurer.
The officers set fund-raising priorities and oversee the implementation of projects supporting hospice.
Funk wins 1st place in Craft Olympics
Larry Funk of Harrison & Palmer, Inc. won first place in the Anne Arundel-Southern Maryland Chapter of Associated Builders Contractors, Inc. Craft Olympics competition on Dec. 6.
The runner-up was Charles Loclair of M. E. Charney Electric.
The third place was awarded to Robert Cox, of C. T. Electric Corporation.
Foundation elects officers for board
The Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation recently elected officers for its board of directors for 1994-1995.
Elected chairman was George Benson Jr.; vice chairman, Hillard Donner; secretary, Margaret Ellis; and treasurer, Carl TenHoppen.
Other members of the AAMC foundation board of directors are Thomas Baldwin, Carl Brunetto, Garnett Clark, Martin Doordan, Ruby Fuller, Florence Greenfield, M. Lee Marson, Michael McCrudden, Jim McEneaney, Kent McNew, Virginia Meredith, James Olfson, Robert Reeves, Regina Stansbury and Carl Tenner.
The Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization.
It receives and raises funds for Anne Arundel Medical Center along with its allied health programs.
Brice, Hauss named top Weichert producers
The top producers at the Annapolis office of Weichert Realtors for November were Jerry Brice and Wendy Hauss.
Mr. Brice was also recognized as the top lister and top dollar volume sales associate for the month.
