County police have issued an arrest warrant for Kevin Wayne Savoy, 27, of the first block of Marcs Court in Annapolis, charging him with carjacking and trespassing.
Jynell Patrice Spriggs, 27, of the 500 block of W. McKendree Road told police she was driving west on Route 258 about 6:30 a.m. when someone grabbed her from behind. She swerved her 1989 Nissan into the opposite lane and nearly hit an oncoming car, which was forced off the road, police said.
Ms. Spriggs said she was told to get out of the car, police said. She stopped on the shoulder of the eastbound lane and did as she was told.
The assailant drove off in her car, heading west on Route 258, police said. Ms. Spriggs thinks he slipped into the back seat of her car while she left the vehicle idling in front of her house, police said.
Ms. Spriggs identified Mr. Savoy as her ex-boyfriend.
He is under a court order preventing him from returning to Ms. Spriggs' home.
