Two men in stocking caps, one armed with a .38-caliber revolver, robbed an Elkridge gas station, grabbing cash and cartons of cigarettes before they fled, Howard County police said.
The men do not appear to be the pair believed responsible for six armed robberies -- four in the Jessup area -- within the past two weeks, according to police.
In last night's incident, two men entered the Stewart gas station in the 7300 block of Route 1 about 5:25 p.m. and demanded cash from a clerk. No one was injured, police said.
One suspect was described as a black male in his 50s, wearing a flannel shirt and bulky pants. Police said the other suspect, a younger black male, carried a revolver with a 4-inch barrel. He wore a blue and white flannel shirt and jeans, police said.
