Churches set Christmas schedules

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Can you believe that in six days we will be celebrating Christmas 1994 and that in 13 days a new year will begin?

It seems impossible that another 365 days have once again gone by. Each year feels as if it's shorter than the one before . . . or maybe it's just that we get more and more frantic.

This season, take time to slow down and enjoy the holidays with friends and family.

*

These churches will be offering Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services:

Christmas is a time of tradition, and a tradition in the Brooklyn Park community is the lighting of luminarias on Christmas Eve.

Luminarias are white bags illuminated by candles and placed about 5 feet apart along the edge of driveways, sidewalks or edges of streets. Luminaria kits (candles, cups and bags) may be purchased in packages of 10 to 40 bags. Prices range from $4.50 for 10 kits to $18 for 40 kits.

Proceeds will benefit the Brooklyn Park Security Patrol.

Get in the spirit and light up the community by calling 636-405 to order your kits.

If you would like to have news about your or group or activity published in Neighbors, call Phyllis Flowers, 789-2517, or Phyllis Lucas, 789-3118.
