Howard County government has mailed the first edition of the Carrs Mill Newsletter, published to keep residents informed on the closed landfill.
The first publication contains a status report on the landfill, proposed timetable and sampling results on the water and air along with charts and maps.
To receive the newsletter, call the Bureau of Waste Management at 313-6444.
The bureau has moved to Suite 514, 6751 Gateway Drive, Columbia, in the Gateway Building.
The next advisory committee meeting on the landfill will be held at 4 p.m. Jan. 18 in the third-floor conference room of the George Howard Building, 3430 Court House Drive, Ellicott City.
