In Anne Arundel County, the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company's annual Christmas garden is open 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Jan. 8. Closed Christmas. 8506 Fort Smallwood Road. Call (410) 255-1314.

The Baltimore Society of Model Engineers holds its annual open house from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the first five Sundays of the new year. 225 W. Saratoga St. Call (410) 837-2763.
The Shops at Kenilworth, on Kenilworth Avenue in Towson, features aChristmas garden from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday. The mall is closed Christmas and New Year's Day. The train garden will be open until 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. The display runs through Jan. 14. (No donations.) Call (410) 321-1909.
The Triangle and Western Model Railroad Club, 8622 Belair Road, opens its train layout to the public from noon until 5 p.m. today, tomorrow, and on Jan. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15. Call (410) 256-9037 on Tuesday nights.
