DRUG ARRESTS: Western District -- More than a dozen men were arrested Wednesday night and charged with drug violations. The arrests took place at locations throughout the district and were the result of undercover work and information received from citizens. Some drug transactions were witnessed by police. The men were held at the station pending bail hearings before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man who attempted to leave the Food King store in the 5300 block of York Road yesterday without paying for three bottles of deodorant valued at nearly $8.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2500 block of N. Calvert St. by the fire escape Wednesday and stole a gold ring, leather jacket and a telephone, all valued at nearly $1,300.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3600 block of Park Heights Ave. was walking in the 2800 block of Oakley Ave. Wednesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $140.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who shot a resident of the 3700 block of Sullivan Drive in the buttocks with a shotgun during a robbery Wednesday in the 4100 block of Rockfield Ave. The gunman escaped with $5 and at least one pack of cigarettes. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital and released.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- Someone entered a garage in the first block of Clipping Trees Lane Wednesday and stole a pair of snow skis valued at nearly $1,000.

ROBBERY: Parkville Precinct -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed the Tire & Auto Center in the 7700 block of Harford Road Wednesday. After entering the business shortly after 5 p.m., one of the men stood inside the customer waiting area while his accomplice approached the counter. After asking an employee if the center had any parts for a Volkswagen, the man pulled out a handgun and ordered the employee to open the cash register and give him the money. After taking $75 from the employee, the gunman robbed a second man of $35. Both suspects escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn Precinct -- A resident of the 3100 block of Thornfield Road was walking near her home Wednesday when a man armed with what appeared to be a large caliber semiautomatic handgun robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at nearly $500.
