In yesterday's Around the Inner Harbor column, the starting time of Sunday's Festival on Ice at the Inner Harbor Ice Rink on Rash Field was incorrectly reported. The skating show is from noon to 1 p.m.
The Sun regrets the errors.
HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS
Sunday's the day for holiday events around the Inner Harbor this weekend (in addition to the continuing displays of lights, shops, etc.). Here's what's happening:
* Festival On Ice, a show featuring young figure skaters will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Inner Harbor Ice Rink on Rash Field, next to the Maryland Science Center. Skaters Elizabeth Bryan, Caitlin Ring, Melissa Ring, Vikki Winterling and Carrie Runde, ages 11-14, will perform. They're coached by Amy Lanier. Take your own skates, watch the exhibit, and then try to repeat what you saw. Information: 385-0675.
* The Handel Choir of Baltimore will perform a free holiday concert from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Harborplace Amphitheatre. The concert will include songs from its seasonal production of the "Messiah," as well as popular and religious Christmas favorites. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move into Harborplace's Light Street Pavilion. Information: 332-4191.
TWO NEIGHBORHOODS WITH ALL THE TRIMMINGS
Check out the holiday decorations -- and some of the restorations, as well -- in the Federal Hill and Otterbein areas just south of the Inner Harbor from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Carolers and holiday trimmings will mark the way for visitors on a self-guided, candlelight tour that includes 11 houses in these two neighborhoods. You can travel between the two communities by free trolley.
Tickets are $10, available in advance at the Long & Foster Realtors office, 900 Light St. on Federal Hill, and at 808 S. Broadway in Fells Point. On Sunday, tickets will be sold only at the Light Street office. Proceeds benefit the Preservation Society, which serves the communities of Federal Hill and Fells Point. Information: 675-6750. Sunday is the last day of the season for the Baltimore Farmers Market, at Holliday and Saratoga streets under the Jones Falls Expressway, a few blocks north of the Inner Harbor. Pick up fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs for the holidays. The market is open from 8 a.m. to sellout, usually about noon. You'll also find a variety of holiday items, including garlands, wreaths, holly, mistletoe, Christmas trees and poinsettias. Information: 837-4636 or (800) 282-6632.
