Two muggers robbed a Baltimore man Monday evening as he was putting packages into his car in the Glen Burnie Mall parking lot, police said.

Julius Pamula Carroll, 27, of the 3000 block of Mallview Road, was putting the packages into the trunk of his car shortly before 6 p.m. when two men walked up to him and one asked Mr. Carroll for the time, then pushed him. Both men then grabbed packages from the trunk and ran off, police said.

Mr. Carroll told police the packages contained clothes and children's toys.

One robber was described as a white male, 19 to 20 years old, with a medium build. He had close-cut hair and was wearing a Chicago Bulls jacket.

The second robber was a described as a black male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 17 or 18 years old. He had a thin build, short hair in dreadlocks and was wearing a blue and white plaid jacket, dark pants and black combat boots, police said.

$26,500 to hospital from the auxiliary

At a recent holiday luncheon, North Arundel Hospital's Auxiliary presented the hospital with a check for $26,500.

The money consists of proceeds from numerous fund-raising events, including book sales, a fashion show and bazaars, along with gift shop and thrift shop sales.

Members of the auxiliary have raised more than $60,000 of a $100,000 pledge toward the purchase of five cardiac monitors for the emergency department.

* The hospital was also recently presented with a $3,700 check from the members of the B&A; Trail 10K Committee.

The money, from proceeds from the 10K race held in June, will go to purchase pulse oximeters that will monitor oxygen rates in pediatric asthmatic patients.
