Man arrested in slayings

THE BALTIMORE SUN

City police arrested one man and were seeking three others in connection with the execution-style slayings on Dec. 4 of two men inside a house in the 200 block of N. Streeper St.

Police said the slayings of Donnell Solomon, 19, a resident of the N. Streeper Street house, and Sean Brown, 19, from the 800 block of N. Linwood Ave., appeared to be the result of a robbery that may have been drug related.

Eastern District police armed with a warrant charging the suspect with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of using a handgun in the commission of a felony arrested Darnell Michael Jones, 18, of the 1700 block of E. Oliver St., at an undisclosed location yesterday afternoon.

After being formally charged, Mr. Jones was remanded to the Eastern District lockup without bail pending a bail review hearing today at the Eastside District Court at North Avenue and Harford Road.

Shortly before 6 p.m. on Dec. 4, Eastern District police responding to a report of a shooting at 201 N. Streeper St. entered the dwelling and found the victims lying in a second-floor front bedroom.

Anyone having information about the identification of the remaining men wanted in the double-slaying is urged to call the homicide squad at 396-2100.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for their arrests by Metro Crime Stoppers.
