Outlook: The Terps have won 25 straight over state opponents and haven't lost to a state team in coach Chris Weller's 19 seasons. Maryland and Towson State have played each other once, a 107-51 Terps victory in 1991. Both teams are shooting under 37 percent. Maryland seems to have regrouped from a 66-point loss to top-ranked Tennessee on Dec. 4 with a victory over Rutgers on Saturday. The Terps shot 52 percent and made 20 steals, both season highs. With improved shooting, the Terps have scored more than 70 points in their past two games. The Tigers, who have lost by an average margin of 22 points, are searching for some chemistry. Using three starting combinations in its first four games, Towson State has averaged 20 turnovers. The Tigers also have only one player over 6 feet and have been out-rebounded, 219-155. Kesha Camper leads Maryland in scoring (11.8) and is second in rebounding (4.5). LaTonya Joyner and Tanya Belair combine for 25 points per game, which accounts for half of Towson State's offense.
