BULLETS TONIGHT

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Opponent: San Antonio Spurs

Site: Alamodome, San Antonio

Time: 8:30

TV/Radio: HTS/WWLG (1360 AM), WTEM (570 AM)

Outlook: This is the first of two meetings between the teams. San Antonio has won three straight against Washington, including both games last season. A win over the defending NBA champion Houston Rockets on Saturday ended a two-game losing streak and pulled San Antonio within a game of .500. C David Robinson is second in the league in rebounding (13.0) and third in scoring (28.0 ppg) and blocks (3.2 bpg). F Dennis Rodman, who was suspended without pay last week after failing show up when his paid leave of absence ended, was activated Friday and could play his first game tonight. The Bullets are coming off a loss in Denver on Saturday in which two of the top three scorers, G Rex Chapman (18.4 ppg) and F Don MacLean (14.6 ppg), did not play. Chapman (groin muscle) may play tonight, and MacLean (sore knees) will be examined by team doctors in Washington today.
