* SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A employee at the Honey Bee Grocery in the 2100 block of Cliftwood Ave. was shot in the leg yesterday evening by two men who entered with their faces covered and demanded money. The victim's condition was not immediately known.

* STABBING: Southeastern District -- A resident of the 2700 block of Mura St. was listed in stable condition at Church Hospital after suffering stab wounds to the stomach about 8:10 a.m. yesterday. Police said the victim provided no details.

* THEFT: Southeastern District -- Two dirt bikes valued at about $10,000 were reported stolen from Dirt First Inc. in the 6500 block of Landay Ave. over the weekend. An employee at the shop called police at 11 a.m. yesterday when he found the bikes missing from the store.

* PURSE-SNATCHING: Southeastern District -- A young woman grabbed the purse of an elderly woman behind her house in the 500 block of S. Collington Ave. yesterday morning.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- The driver of an illegal cab pulled a handgun on a couple in the 4100 block of Penhurst Avenue when they failed to pay an $8 fare. The couple gave the man $5 and left.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* BURGLARIES: Parkville Precinct -- Police were investigating four burglaries between Saturday afternoon and yesterday afternoon as possibly being related. Jewelry, cash, a television, a videocassette recorder and a computer were among items taken from homes in the first block of Rockingham Court and the 2200 block of Lowells Glen Road, and from two homes in the first block of Carriage Walk Court.

* THEFT: Catonsville Precinct -- A woman's coat containing a driver's license and $200 in cash was reported stolen late Saturday from a room at Tim's Motel in the 4400 block of Washington Blvd.

* AUTO THEFT: Towson Precinct -- A man called police when he saw four young men arrive in front of his home in a black Mercedes-Benz and smash in the front window of his car at 8:35 a.m. yesterday in the 7200 block of Brook Falls Terrace. Before police arrived, the culprits were gone -- one of them taking the victim's white, two-door 1993 Nissan 300ZX, which had Maryland tags AZG 010.

HARFORD COUNTY

* ARREST: Joppa -- A state trooper saw a 1992 Ford pickup run a red light at U.S. 40 and Route 152 about 1:15 a.m. yesterday, and arrested its driver after a high-speed chase. Randy Lee Schepers, 26, of Valley Leaf Court in Edgewood, was charged with offenses including drunken driving, possession of marijuana and speeding, police said.
