CHESTERTOWN -- No. 3 Rowan defeated Washington College, 83-60, yesterday to win the Wild Goose Tournament, one day after Shoremen coach Tom Finnegan notched his 300th career victory.

"It was a real treat," Finnegan said Friday night after Washington College's 76-67 victory over Wilmington in the tournament opener. "Fortunately, the kids played well."

Yesterday, however, Rowan (7-10) played better, as Terrence Stewart scored 22 points and Charles Grasty added 20.

The Shoremen (5-3) were led by Ben Harris, who made the all-tournament team, with 25 points.

Finnegan's record stands at 300-260.

I= Cabrini won the consolation game, 77-60, over Wilmington.
