Pickup hits tractor-trailer injuries minor

A motorist fell asleep and his pickup truck struck the rear of a tractor-trailer on Route 140 near Dede Road in Finksburg on Friday morning, state police said.

The drivers of both trucks were treated at Carroll County General Hospital and released Friday.

David Grant Hollinger, 26, of the 100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. in Westminster was driving a 1983 Ford Ranger pickup north on Baltimore Boulevard at 8:55 a.m. when he fell asleep and his truck hit the rear of the tractor-trailer, state police said.

He was trapped in the pickup for about 20 minutes and then taken to Carroll County General.

The tractor-trailer was driven by Philetus R. Brown, 60, of New Windsor.
