1. Ryan Homes has opened the final section at Crofton Crest, in Crofton, Anne Arundel County. The firm is building four models of brick-front Colonial houses on lots that range from one-sixth to one-third acre.

The least expensive home is the Windsor, which has a starting price of $174,900 for 1,854 square feet of living space.

Across the front of the Windsor there is a 14-by-11-foot living room, entry foyer with powder room and a single-car garage. A 10-by-12-foot dining room, kitchen with breakfast area and 11-by-15-foot family room occupy the rear of the house. Upstairs the master suite has a 16-by-15-foot bedroom, walk-in closet and bath with dual vanities. Three more bedrooms and a full hall bath complete the second floor.

With 2,085 square feet and a base price of $192,900, the Newport is the largest home at Crofton Crest. The first floor has a 13-by-14-foot living room, 11-by-12-foot dining room, kitchen with breakfast area, 13-by-12-foot family room, powder room, foyer and two-car garage.

A master suite with an 18-by-13-foot bedroom, full bath with dual vanities and a walk-in closet are located on the second floor along with three other bedrooms and a full hall bath.

2. Powers Homes is building the Fonthill, a brick-front Colonial with 2,550 square feet of living space, to serve as the model for the new section it is opening at the Estates at Hawk Ridge Farm, in Sykesville. A total of 200 homes will be built at the Carroll County subdivision.

For a base price of $234,990, the Fonthill includes an 11-by-9-foot library between the 15-by-13-foot two-story living room and the 14-by-12-foot dining room.

The first floor also has a 14-by-9-foot kitchen with island, 12-by-8-foot breakfast area, 18-by-14-foot family room, powder and utility rooms, and two-car garage.

A bath with soaking tub, separate shower and his and her vanities is located in the master suite, which also contains a room-size walk-in closet and a 16-by-14-foot bedroom. Four more bedrooms and a full bath with dual vanities complete the second floor.
