Evans' 34 lift Mervo by Dunbar, 72-31 GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP

Cheryl Evans had game highs of 34 points and 11 rebounds to lead Mervo (2-0) past Dunbar, 72-31, in the Lake Clifton Mixer girls basketball tournament yesterday. The Mustangs opened the game with a 21-2 run.

* Lake Clifton 67, Carver 30: Jinika Conley scored 18 as No. 4 Lake Clifton beat visiting Carver.

* Seton Keough 46, McDonogh 30: Melanie Morris scored 18 to lead No. 10 Seton Keough over host McDonogh.

* Arundel 66, Meade 14: Chavonne Hammond scored 18 and Jen Mottar added 14 to lead No. 14 Arundel over visiting Meade.

* Randallstown 63, Woodlawn 48: Anika Lee scored 21 to lead and No. 18 Randallstown past host Woodlawn. Ali Galikunas led the Warriors with 10.

* Bullis 57, John Carroll 55, OT: John Carroll's Briteny Whitehurst had 15 points and 15 rebounds but Bullis edged the Patriots in overtime. Michelle Bunting scored the winning basket at the buzzer for Bullis.

* Edmondson 91, Southwestern 40: Michelle Inman scored a game-high 29 and Emily Jones added 27 as host Edmondson (1-3) won.

* Northwestern 47, City 21: Nicole Eades scored 17 to lead visiting Northwestern.

* Dulaney 64, Kenwood 14: Lisa Rutledge had a game-high 19 to help Dulaney over Kenwood. The Lions started the game with a 24-4 run.
