Baker on ships

David G. Liggins, a baker on merchant marine vessels who retired in 1973, died of a heart attack at home Thursday . The East Baltimore resident was 66.

Born and reared in West Baltimore, he was educated in city schools and served in the Army during the Korean conflict.

Services were to be held at noon today at the March Funeral Home, 1101 E. North Ave., Baltimore.

Mr. Liggins is survived by his wife of 38 years, the former Marilyn Taylor; two sons, Donald C. Liggins and Ronald H. Liggins; and a daughter, Tanna M. Liggins, all of Baltimore; four brothers, Robert Liggins of Cleveland, and Daniel Liggins, Ronny Liggins and Joseph Liggins, all of Baltimore; a sister, Catherine Robinson of Baltimore; and six grandchildren.
