Historic Harbor ornaments
Beautify your Christmas tree while helping to preserve Fells Point and Federal Hill with the purchase of the first annual Historic Harbor ornament, sold by the Preservation Society. The ornament features a sailboat and view of the waterfront in Fells Point in a 24-karat gold finish. The ornaments are $12.50, including tax, and are available at the Robert Long House, 812 S. Ann St. (410) 675-6750. Have you ever thought about what happens to your plastic shower curtain liner after you throw it away? In Baltimore, it goes to the incinerator, and when it is burned, it releases a lot of toxins, like PCBs, into the air we breath. That's why Atlantic Recycled Paper Co. has introduced a 100 percent cotton shower curtain and liner all in one. The tightly woven, completely machine washable curtain eliminates the need for a plastic liner. It comes in white and natural wheat colors, costs $35 and can be ordered by calling (410) 747-7314 or (800) 323-2811. By the way, Atlantic Recycled Paper Co. is owned by ReVisions, a nonprofit agency serving the mentally disabled and employing mentally disabled workers in its packaging warehouse.
