BUCKNELL (0-3) at No. 11 MARYLAND (3-1)
Site: Cole Field House, College Park
Time: 8 p.m.
Radio: WBAL (1090 AM)
Outlook: The 11th-ranked Terrapins are coming off their 1994-95 home opener, a 92-62 victory over Loyola. Maryland didn't put away the Greyhounds until early in the second half, and Gary Williams wouldn't mind an easier game against the Bison. It would give him a chance to rest sophomore center Joe Smith (23.5 ppg, 8 rpg), whose sprained left ankle seemed to make him a bit tentative trying to get around Loyola's double and triple teams. Like the Greyhounds, the Bison will try to beat the Terps from the perimeter. Sophomore swingman Gordon Mboya of Bethesda (12.7 ppg) has hit nine of 16 three-point shots, with Bucknell a more than respectable 16 of 35 overall.
