Senior guard Amy Dodrill finished with a game-high 21 points, making four of six three-pointers, to lead host Johns Hopkins (4-1) to an 86-56 win over Brandeis (1-1) in a women's basketball game yesterday.
L Freshman guard Angie Arnold added 15 points and six assists.
The Blue Jays forced 36 turnovers. Karen Hoffman, who scored 10 points and made six assists, led the defense with five steals.
The Blue Jays ran out to a 55-31 halftime lead by hitting 20 of their first 38 shots (53 percent).
* Bowie State 53, Navy 51: Scoring her only points of the game, B. J. Jackson made a 10-foot jumper to give the Bulldogs (5-0) a win over host Navy (2-2). Bowie State came back from a 22-point halftime deficit.
The Bulldogs fell behind by shooting 18 percent in the first half. But Navy aided Bowie State's comeback by committing 43 turnovers and shooting only 16 percent in the second half.
Brandey Lemons led the Bulldogs with nine points.
* Salisbury State 77, Wesley 55: Kim Roth had 16 points and eight rebounds to help host Salisbury State (2-2) over Wesley (1-4) in the first round of the Salisbury Optimist Classic.
Salisbury State plays Barton in the final at 6 tonight.
* St. John Fisher 74, Goucher 61: Susan Clark scored 22 points as host St. John Fisher advanced in the Cardinal Champion Invitational. Goucher's Cassandra Clemons led all scorers with 27.
Goucher (3-2) faces Dominican College (N.Y.) in the consolation
round today.
