Coincidental, accidental pairings appear on tonight's schedule: "The Cosby Mysteries" has a show about twins, directly opposite the twin stars of "Sister, Sister." And "48 Hours" looks at romantic scam artists -- the same topic explored on a competing series, "Law & Order."
* "The Cosby Mysteries" (8-9 p.m., Channel 2) -- Stephen Schnetzer plays two roles in tonight's show, appearing as twin brothers -- but one of them is very quickly killed. A corpse is a corpse, of course, of course, but how do you tell which twin is the corpse? NBC.
* "Sister, Sister" (8-8:30 p.m., Channel 13) -- The girls (Tia and Tamera Mowry) have a double date, but with a single guy -- who doesn't know that he's made individual plans with the twins. How to deal with it? Easy: Take out Tia today, and the other twin Tamera. ABC.
* "Beverly Hills, 90210" (8-9 p.m., Channel 45) -- Emily Valentine, played by Christine Elise, was one of the guest tempestuous troublemakers on "90210," back when Shannen Doherty's Brenda was stealing the bad-girl spotlight. Now that Brenda is gone, Emily is back for another visit. Fox.
* "Gone But Not Forgotten II" (8-11:30 p.m., channels 22, 67) -- Baltimore Sun columnist Dan Rodricks narrates this look back at Maryland's sporting life, from the Colts and the fire at the old Orioles ballpark to Cumberland's sports-car racing. MPT.
* "Roseanne" (9-9:30 p.m., Channel 13) -- This series continues its brave story line, in which Roseanne ponders, with lots of anguish, whether to get an abortion. ABC.
* "Star Trek: A Captain's Log" (9-10 p.m., Channel 11) -- Moldly going where everyone has gone before, this one-hour CBS special rehashes, rather superficially and ineptly, the "Star Trek" phenomenon, devoting the bulk of the hour to the original NBC series. CBS.
* "Models Inc." (9-10 p.m., Channel 45) -- Last week, Emma Samms joined the cast of "Models Inc." -- but only in the final seconds, with an almost ethereal entrance. This week, she'll actually get a chance to act -- although, on this series, that contribution appears to be entirely optional. Fox.
* "48 Hours" (10-11 p.m., Channel 11) -- Tonight's "48 Hours" tackles a topic examined last week by Sally Jessy Raphael: romantic con artists. This show, though, finds predatory women as well as men -- not just Don Juans, but Donna Juans, too. CBS.
* "Turning Point" (10-11 p.m., Channel 13) -- "Turning Point" visits the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center during its report on repeat-offender drunk drivers. "Dead Drunk: License to Kill" includes a look at a Baltimore County program that takes juvenile drug and alcohol offenders to the Shock Trauma Center to see victims and hear testimony from those who drove while under the influence and killed. ABC.
