Johns Hopkins won its second consecutive Blue Jay Classic by defeating Bridgewater, 93-52, in the championship game yesterday.
Amy Dodrill led Johns Hopkins with a 19-point, 12-assist performance. The 12 assists broke the Hopkins single-game record (11) that Dodrill set in last year's Classic.
Tournament MVP Karen Hoffman scored 18 and added five rebounds, four steals, and four assists. Hoffman was also the MVP of the
1993 Classic. Robyn Runge added 17 points for the Blue Jays and Angie Arnold contributed 11 points and seven assists.
Christie Osborne paced Bridgewater with 11 points.
In the consolation game, Catholic defeated Widener, 45-36. Liz Cleary scored 14 to pace Catholic.
