A Philadelphia trucker was robbed of "thousands of dollars" yesterday while sitting inside his tractor-trailer at the Francis Scott Key Mall, state police said.
Eddie Zeledon, a driver for Valley Brook Provision Food Distributors in Folcroft, Pa., was behind Leggett's department store at about 1:30 p.m. when a man with a small black semiautomatic pistol robbed him of two bags of money, police said.
Police said the man tried to lock Mr. Zeledon in the trailer before fleeing in a black car, which may have had Pennsylvania license tags.
Mr. Zeledon escaped and called for help. Police said witnesses also reported seeing a second man run away.
