Severn's Carrie Cole scored with three minutes left in the fourth quarter for a 1-0 Even League victory in the Association of Independent Schools All-Star Field Hockey Game yesterday at St. Timothy's.
Christine Lazatin (Bryn Mawr) crossed the ball to Cole, who slipped the game winner in behind keeper Meredith Shuey (Roland Park).
Up to that point, the game remained scoreless on some strong goalie play especially by Odd League starter Celia Ashton (Seton Keough) and Even starter Jacque Weitzel (Garrison Forest).
Ashton stopped a penalty stroke from Alexa Wilder (Park) midway through the third quarter among her five saves.
Weitzel made two of her three saves against a furious surge by Carrie Everett (Glenelg Country School) early in the third quarter.
