Baseball clinic to benefit AACC

Orioles assistant scouting director Fred Uhlman Jr. and Bowie Baysox shortstop Ken Arnold are among those scheduled to take part in a professional baseball clinic fund raiser to benefit Anne Arundel Community College's baseball program.

The clinic will run on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until noon, at the B.A.T.T. Barn in Pasadena. It is open to everyone and the fee is $10 per player. There is no cost for the parents and coaches of

each player.

Also appearing will be Pioneers manager Clayton Jacobson and coaches Bob Lilliock and Dave Edwards, Orioles scout Frank Klebe and Atlanta Braves minor-league catcher Rich Spiegel.

"The clinic will teach the basic mechanics of pitching, hitting and defense," Klebe said.

"There also will be a coaches and parents seminar upstairs."
