Liberty runs over N. Carroll

Brandon Scarborough scored three second-half touchdowns and rushed for 260 yards on 20 carries as host Liberty (4-6, 2-5) finished its season with a 28-6 win over visiting North Carroll (1-9, 0-7) in a Central Maryland Conference game.

North Carroll cut the lead to 14-6 later in the third quarter when Chad Crowl took a Shane Simantel hand-off and ran down the left sideline to narrow the margin.

Then Scarborough struck again. On the first play after the Lions downed the ensuing kickoff at their own 7, Scarborough found a hole in the middle of the line and ran 93 yards untouched to give Liberty a 20-6 lead.

St. Mary's 39, Calvert Hall 20

Jason Lilly rushed for 330 yards and five touchdowns as host St. Mary's (5-5) beat Calvert Hall (3-6). Josh Rudder led the Saints defensively with 12 tackles and a fumble recovery, and Mike Tagliaro added 10 tackles and an interception.

Patterson 38, Southern-B 12

Ryan Lewis ran for 245 yards and three touchdowns to lead top-ranked Patterson (10-0) over host Southern-B (2-8).

N. County 34, Broadneck 16

Topper Ellis rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns and Chris Mangum caught a pair of touchdown passes from Earl Sewell to push No. 7 North County (8-2) past visiting Broadneck (6-3).

C. Milton Wright 28, Fallston 7

Todd Behler rushed for 173 yards and four touchdowns to power No. 9 C. Milton Wright (9-1) to a win over Fallston (5-5). Richie Jergensen added 72 yards rushing for the Mustangs.

Joppatowne 22, Edgewood 12

Andre Tyler rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns to carry visiting Joppatowne (7-3) past Edgewood (3-7). Stephan Jones returned a kickoff 60 yards with less than eight minutes left to break a 12-12 tie.

Bel Air 18, John Carroll 12

Chris Siplin scored a touchdown and rushed for 83 yards to lift host Bel Air (6-4) past John Carroll.

Southern-AA 17, South River 6

Chris Worrall scored a touchdown and had a 25-yard field goal to move visiting Southern-AA (6-4) past South River (4-6). Adam Booth threw for a touchdown and returned a blocked punt 23 yards for another.

Edmondson 34, Forest Park 12

Brian Moss ran for 81 yards and two touchdowns on five carries and made seven solo tackles to lead Edmonson (7-3) past visiting Forest Park (4-5).

Northern 28, Carver 14

Junior Robert Dukes gained 148 yards to give him 1,050 yards on the season, leading host Northern (6-4) past Carver (3-7). The Vikings finished the season with a six-win turnaround after going 0-10 last season.

Mervo 12, Southwestern 6

Duncan Anderson's 1-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted Mervo (3-7) over host Southwestern (1-9).

Northwestern 16, Douglass 0

Sadique Allison and Robert Pouncey each scored a touchdown to help visiting Northwestern (2-7) past Douglass (0-9).

Curley 35, Carver A&T; 0

Don Campbell rushed twice for 43 yards and two touchdowns to help Curley (6-4) shut out Carver A&T; (0-10).

Parkville 20, Patapsco 6

Gladstone Lilly scored a pair of touchdowns and Tony Armetta scored a touchdown lifting Parkville (4-6) past host Patapsco (2-8).
