Two speakers will address women's health issues at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the monthly meeting of the Woman's Club of Linthicum Heights.
Frances Phillips, a registered nurse and county health officer, will speak on the high incidence of cancer in our area and what the health department feels can be done about it.
Linda Yergey, oncology clinical specialist at Harbor Hospital, will discuss cancer from the clinical aspect. There will be time for discussion after the presentations, particularly about what our community can do to help solve this problem. This program was arranged by the Community Health and Volunteer Services Committee.
The meeting will be at the clubhouse, 110 N. Hammonds Ferry Road. If you would like to attend, please call Marge Holmes at 859-5939.
* A reminder from Fran Purper that holiday wrapping paper orders will be available for distribution at the meeting and payment is due at this time.
Lunch will be prepared by Jane Bond and Alice Tabor, and served by members of the music committee.
* Tickets for the second Christmas House Tour on Dec. 4 will be offered for sale at the clubhouse tomorrow.
Club members and community residents may purchase them from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. After tomorrow, tickets can be bought at: Pumphrey's Variety Store in the Shipley-Linthicum Shopping Center; All Things Country in Pastore's Plaza on Mountain Road in Pasadena; and the YMCA of Severna Park on Cypress Creek Road and Baltimore & Annapolis Boulevard.
The cost is $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the tour.
In addition to eight private homes, the tour will include the original Linthicum train station on Maple Road, a performance by the National Horn Quartet at Holly Run Church and a Handbell Choir Concert in St. John Lutheran Church. The tour hours are from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Five Linthicum Elementary School alumnae, under the direction of Harry Auld, chairman of the PTA Landscaping Committee, are returning to help beautify the school grounds.
North County High School students JacLynn Bechtel, Stephanie Comegys, Mandi Knickman, Ben Latagan and Sarah Ramsey will be fulfilling their community service requirements for graduation by doing this work.
All Maryland high school students must complete 75 hours of community service during their four years of high school in order to graduate. The liaison for the North County volunteers is Sharon Stratton.
* Two meetings will take place Wednesday at Linthicum Elementary. The Citizens Advisory Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. and the PTA Executive Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in school affairs is invited to attend.
* Enjoy a pancake breakfast with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Saturday at Linthicum Elementary. There will be two seatings: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Advance tickets will be $3.50 for adults (anyone older than a sixth-grader), and $2.50 for children age 4 and up. Tickets the day of the breakfast will be $4 and $3. Children under age 4 can eat for free.

A lot is happening at St. Philip Neri School this week.
* The Scholastic Book Fair starts today and continues through Thursday. The public is invited to the school lobby between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to make purchases.
The fair will raise money for the purchase of media equipment and classroom supplies.
* Parent volunteers will bake turkeys and pies and serve a traditional Thanksgiving feast to the students and faculty on Wednesday. The money for this free lunch was raised at the Fall Craft Fair/Bake Sale.
* A uniform exchange will take place from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. today. The exchange has been set up to help defray the cost of school uniforms by making available used uniforms in good condition to school families.
There is a minimal charge for first-time exchange users.
Uniforms brought in should be clean, with the sizes marked.
