BALTIMORE -- A 57-year-old cabbie has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 14-year-old boy who died Monday night at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
City police said Eugene Marshall, of the first block of Mountbatten Court, Baltimore County, was originally charged with assault with intent to kill Ronell Stewart, of the 1100 block of Gleneagle Road, during an argument Sunday night in the 1000 block of St. Dunstan's Road, but that the charge was upgraded yesterday when the youth died.
Police said the cab driver was being held without bail at the city Detention Center pending a bail review hearing in District Court.
The youth was mortally injured when he was slashed in the abdomen with a knife during an argument.
