Business group backs candidates in Howard
The Business and Commerce Political Action Committee in Howard County has endorsed the following candidates in Tuesday's election:
County executive: Charles I. Ecker (R).
County Council: District 1, Darrel Drown (R); District 2, Vernon Gray (D); District 3, Dennis Schrader (R); District 4, Mary Lorsung (D); and District 5, Charles Feaga (R).
School board: Delroy Cornick and Jamie Kendrick.
Clerk of the court: Margaret Rappaport (R).
State's attorney: Dario Broccolino (D).
State Senate: District 12, Edward Kasemeyer (D); District 13, Virginia Thomas (D); and District 14, Christopher McCabe (R).
House of Delegates: District 12A, Kenneth Masters (D); District 12B, no endorsement; District 13A, Frank Turner (D); District 13B, John Morgan (R); and District 14B, two seats, Robert Flanagan (R) and Robert Kittleman (R).
On the referendum Question B, the committee group a "no" vote.
Democrats plan forum for county candidates
A "Meet the Candidates" forum will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Glenelg High School.
The Howard County Democratic Central Committee will sponsor the event, featuring county executive candidate Susan Gray, County Council candidate John Taylor and House of Delegates candidate Andy Levy. The school is at 14025 Burnt Woods Road in Glenelg.
