MARYLAND (4-4)
This Saturday: N.C. State, Byrd Stadium, College Park, 7 p.m.
Previous game: Maryland defeated Tulane, 38-10. The Terps haven't been at .500 or better after eight games since 1990. It was the third straight home win for the Terps and Maryland's biggest margin of victory since a 53-23 rout of Clemson in 1992. N.C. State lost to North Carolina, 31-17.
Key statistics: Maryland QB Scott Milanovich was 25-for-35 for 291 yards and three touchdowns before leaving early in the fourth quarter. In the first half, Maryland out-gained Tulane 275 yards to 137, and made 18 first downs to seven for Tulane. The Terps gained 160 yards rushing -- led by Allen Williams (eight carries for 100 yards) -- and finished with 491 yards of offense. Maryland's defense frustrated three Tulane quarterbacks, intercepting two passes, causing a fumble and registering five sacks. Tulane was limited to 76 yards rushing.
Injuries: LB Mike Settles sprained his right knee. OL Jade Dubis sprained his left shoulder. Both will play against N.C. State.
