Friends of Eaton to gather today
Friends of Joyce Eaton will sponsor a bull roast from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at Geneva Farms Golf Club, Davis Road, in Street.
Tickets are $25 for adults and children under 5 are free; a donation of $5 would be appreciated for children ages 6 to 12.

Democrats plan door-to-door tour
Members of the Democratic State Central Committee and candidates for election will participate in a door-to-door caravan Saturday in the Havre de Grace area and U.S. 40 corridor.
Anyone wishing to join the group should contact Clara Hopkins, the Central Committee secretary.
The committee also will make arrangements for anyone needing transportation to the polls on Election Day, Nov. 8.

Employees group endorses Craig
Del. David R. Craig, R-District 34, a candidate for the Maryland State Senate, recently received the endorsement of the Maryland Classified Employees Association.
The MCEA is an organization of 24,000 active and retired members who are concerned with legislative and policy issues that affect public employees.
Pierno benefit to be music to fans' ears
Ashtin Golt Showtime, the Big Time, Good Time, Showtime Band, will present a concert to benefit Councilwoman Theresa Pierno, a candidate for Harford County Council president, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. today at Harford Mall in Bel Air.
Tickets are $20, available at the door. Snacks, desserts and a cash bar will be available.
Halloween costumes are optional.
Gerry L. Brewster, Democratic candidate for Congress in the 2nd District, is scheduled to attend.
