A headline in yesterday's Sun stated incorrectly that Sen. William V. Roth Jr., a Delaware Republican, is trailing in the polls in his campaign for re-election. In fact, no independent polls have been conducted in that race, and private polls conducted for both Mr. Roth and his challenger show Mr. Roth in the lead.
The Sun regrets the error.
