* The proposed regional jail received an apparently mortal blow this week when a Frederick County commissioner announced that his county had no desire to participate in the tri-county penal facility plans. Frederick County Commissioner Charles Collins said that he and his associates on the county board have nixed the idea of transporting county prisoners to a jail to be

* St. John's (Leister's) Lutheran Church is celebrating its 100th anniversary. St. John's was organized by the Rev. J. Philip Willard. During 1843 and 1844, services were conducted by Rev.
