The three Democratic nominees for the House of Delegates in District 33 -- David G. Boschert, Mike Canning and Del. Marsha Perry -- have formed The Friends of Marsha, Dave and Mike, a committee that allows them to pool their resources.
They will be able to hold joint fund-raisers, buy advertising and send out literature as a team.
The candidates have enlisted the help of three who lost in the district Democratic primary. Sylvia Jennings will chair the committee. Hal Counihan will serve as the committee treasurer and Dan Nataf will be the political director.
This is not the first joint effort by the three candidates. Ms. Perry, Mr. Boschert and Mr. Canning banded together two weeks ago to publicly endorse Ralph Gies, a conservative Democrat running against Republican incumbent Wayne Gilchrest for the 1st District congressional seat. Mr. Gies had been repudiated by the state Democratic Party for his views on issues such as school prayer and abortion, which reportedly strayed too far from party positions.

The West Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce will hold a breakfast for candidates running for U.S. Senate and the county's congressional seats from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday at Kaufmann's Tavern, 329 Gambrills Road in Gambrills.
Mr. Gilchrest and Mr. Gies from the 1st District, Democratic U.S. Rep. Ben Cardin and Republican nominees Robert Tousey from the 3rd District and Republican Donald Devine of the 5th District have agreed to attend. The chamber is waiting for confirmation from Democratic U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer of the 5th District and from Sen. Paul Sarbanes and his Republican opponent, Bill Brock.
Topics for discussion will include challenges facing the small-business community, the federal crime bill, health care legislation and mandates imposed on businesses.

Sheriff Robert Pepersack Sr. will hold a bull roast from 7 p.m. to midnight Oct. 21 at La Fontaine Bleu on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. Mr. Pepersack is facing Democratic challenger George Johnson in the Nov. 8 election.
