* Taneytown: Firefighters from the Taneytown station responded to investigate a furnace malfunction in a house on Baumgardner Avenue at 7:10 p.m. Monday. They were out for 31 minutes.
Engines from Taneytown, Harney and Pleasant Valley were dispatched to a garage fire in the 3400 block of Old Taneytown Road at 5:49 p.m. Monday. Units were out for an hour and 35 minutes.
