Man, 35, is arrested in break-in at Bingo World

Police arrested a man Friday morning on charges stemmin from a break-in at the Bingo World in the 4700 block of Belle Grove Road.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday, police, who had been told to be on the lookout for a pickup truck, stopped the truck at Ritchie Highway and Belle Grove Road. A security guard at Bingo World had scared off the truck's driver, who allegedly had broken into one storage room and tried to break into another, police said.

Police said they found a flashlight, a hammer and a pair of gloves in the truck.

Gary David Gillespie, 35, of the 2200 block of Hammonds Ferry Road was charged with attempted breaking and entering, breaking and entering, being a rogue and a vagabond, and malicious destruction.
