The Baltimore CFLs re-signed place-kicker Donald Igwebuike today -- 17 days and two games after they cut him.
The team announced the return of Igwebuike shortly after they held their third closed workout of the week for kickers.
Igwebuike, a crowd favorite here, hit 27 of 36 field goals through the first 10 games for the CFLs. When he was cut Sept. 12 after missing a 21-yard field goal in a 30-29 loss to Sacramento, coach Don Matthews put much of the blame on Igwebuike's poor kickoffs.
That gave Charlie Baumann a two-game shot. But Baumann missed a pair of 22-yarders on consecutive weeks and the field became open again this week.
