Man guilty of molesting two stepdaughters

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A 39-year-old Pennsylvania man was convicted in Carroll Circuit Court yesterday of molesting his two stepdaughters in their Westminster home over a three-year period.

The man pleaded guilty to child abuse, fourth-degree sexual offense and battery in exchange for a suspended prison sentence, court records show.

The man was arrested in May 1993 and accused of having sexual intercourse with his then 13-year-old stepdaughter between 1991 and 1993.

He also was accused of fondling his then 4-year-old stepdaughter during the same time, court records show.

The man's name is being withheld to protect the victims' privacy.

Yesterday, Carroll Circuit Judge Luke K. Burns Jr. agreed to impose a maximum suspended five-year prison term when he sentences the man Nov. 29.
