Glen Burnie man robbed near Crofton Center

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A Glen Burnie man told county police that two men robbed him Friday night near the Crofton Center.

Matthew Maslanka, 26, had just cashed his paycheck at the Standard Savings Bank. As he walked through the woods, two men crept up behind him and placed a hard object at his back. They demanded his money and Mr. Maslanka gave them an undisclosed amount of cash. The men ran into the woods and escaped, police said.

Mr. Maslanka reported the theft at 11:30 p.m. He told officers he wasn't sure of the time it happened but narrowed it down between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., police said.
