Joe Montana had the flu, so the Chiefs looked sick on offense yesterday. The Rams dealt Kansas City its first loss of the season, 16-0. The shutout was the first for a Montana-led team in the quarterback's 15-year career.
In Minnesota, both quarterbacks had much healthier days. The Dolphins' Dan Marino threw for 431 yards, the Vikings' Moon for 326, and Minnesota held on for a 38-35 win after nearly blowing a 28-point lead.
The Chargers wasted a 20-point lead, but got a 33-yard field goal from John Carney with two seconds left to beat the Raiders, 26-24. San Diego is the AFC's only unbeaten team at 4-0.
