Speed loses WBO title

THE BALTIMORE SUN

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands -- Underdog Regilio Tuur of the Netherlands upset Eugene Speed of Palmer Park to capture the World Boxing Organization super featherweight title.

When the final bell sounded in this hard-hitting bout between two punchers, Tuur --ed deliriously around the ring. A few moments later, all three judges awarded him the decision.

In the second round, Speed fell to one knee after slipping and took a mandatory eight-count. Speed also twice clutched his stomach during the fight, appearing to claim he suffered low hits.
